Dr. Swaminathan Badrinath, a professor of finance, received an outstanding faculty award presented by SDSU’s Associated Students (AS) at the 3rd Annual Faculty and Staff Appreciation Luncheon on Tues. April 29th. Dr. Badrinath was nominated by student Jeremy Sanders for inspiring both undergraduate and graduate students alike. In addition, Dr. Badrinath has been widely published and served in numerous capacities around the globe from teaching to consulting. Sanders hopes the recognition that this award might bring will give other students the opportunity to get to know Dr. Badrinath as Sanders did.
The luncheon allowed for students to show their appreciation for the hard work and dedication that faculty and staff provide to the students. Students who nominated a faculty or staff member submitted a signed petition to AS who then picked the who chose the winners. Across the campus, only 22 candidates were given awards.
