Over 1,600 Students Eligible to Walk in This Year’s Spring Commencement
Just over 1,600 students are eligible to walk across the stage at Cox Arena on Saturday, May 19 to become official graduates of SDSU’s College of Business Administration (CBA). Dean Gail Naughton will preside over the CBA’s ceremony, which will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and last approximately two hours.

"The College of Business has prepared me for the professional world on many different levels,” said finance student Chelsea Wiley. “I have learned the fundamentals and basic financial techniques needed to ensure that I have a successful career. More importantly, though, I have grown so much as a person by working with the wonderful professors and students in developing relationships that go beyond a professional level to friendships. It is so great to have professors that treat you like an adult, but also understand that you are a student, as well. The hard work from professors and the dedication of hard working students with such great attitudes have prepared me for my career in more ways than I will ever imagine.” |
What can CBA graduates expect when they leave campus to enter the workforce? Executive Officer of San Diego Manpower and CBA Advisory Board member, Phil Blair, said “The job market for College of Business graduates continues to hold very strong...and the deciding factor on getting that perfect job depends as much or more on how the graduate presents themselves. They are not competing as much on grades or degrees but on how the job applicant presents themselves in the interview, their energy level and their ability to think on their feet!”
