Mitchell International, Inc., promoted Kevin Gitre (’81 marketing) to Senior Vice President of Insurance Sales. In his new role, Gitre will be responsible for supervising Mitchell’s Auto Physical Damage and Medical Insurance clients. He has been a member of the Mitchell sales team for over ten years and is committed to providing excellent customer service to his clients. Mitchell International is a provider of information and workflow solutions to the automotive insurance claims industry. Gitre received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Diego State University.

Channell Commercial Corporation appointed Scott Keifer (’82accounting) as its new Interim Chief Financial Officer. Keifer replaced Tom Liguori, who left the company to pursue other business opportunities. He will still retain his position as Corporate Controller, which consists of cash flow forecasting, SEC reporting, budgeting and financial reporting. Keifer has more than 20 years of accounting and management experience.

The Campanile Foundation has six new board members, who are all graduates of the Business College. These new members are: Robert Barron, (’84 finance), CFO, 20th Century Fox Television; Steven Davis, (’79 accounting), senior vice president of external relations and CFO, San Diego Gas & Electric; Raymond Dittamore, (’66 accounting), retired managing partner Ernst & Young (San Diego Office); Lawrence Emond, (’89 international business), chief marketing officer, The Gallup Organization; Mark McMillin, (’79 marketing), vice chairman, The Corky McMillin Companies; Ralph Pesquiera, (’57 marketing), owner and president, El Indio Shops, Inc., and former member of the California State University Board of Trustees.

Dale A. Sander (’81 accounting) is Biolex’s Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President. Sander has more than 20 years of financial management with public and private life science companies. He has served as the CFO and Vice President of Corporate Development for Maxim Pharmaceuticals and as the CFO for Xytronyx, Inc. Sander is a certified public accountant and was a senior manager for Ernst & Young. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from SDSU.

Ben Miller’s (’96 MBA finance) company, Home Care Delivered was named by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in Virginia. Miller is a founding partner and is on its Board of Directors. He was in charge of Home Care Delivered’s Private Placement Offering in 2004 and is responsible for its upcoming IPO.
