Professor Belch Honored for Contributions to Marketing
On
December 14, the San Diego Direct Marketing Association (SDDMA)
gave Professor of Marketing Michael Belch its top honor, the Margaret
Sellers Award, for outstanding contributions to San Diegos
marketing community. The award was presented during a luncheon event
at the La Jolla Radisson.
SDDMA President Randy Gerson said, "The San Diego
Direct Marketing Association is proud of Michael Belch, marketing
master at SDSU. Not only has Michael Belch personally taught many
past recipients of this prestigious award, but has educated many
other influential marketers here in San Diego."
Belch teaches Integrated Marketing Communications
(IMC) and Marketing Management at San Diego State University, where
he has received numerous Outstanding Professor awards. He has also
taught in France, Spain, China, Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Slovenia,
and the Netherlands. Dr. Belch has co-authored numerous articles
in academic journals on advertising, consumer behavior, and international
marketing. Additionally, he co-authored with his brother and SDSU
colleague Dr. George Belch, the number one IMC textbook, An Introduction
to Advertising and Promotion: An Integrated Marketing Communications
Perspective.
