SDSU CIBER Director Honored
The director of SDSU’s Center for International Business & Education Research (CIBER), Mark Ballam, was presented with this year’s Essence of World Trade Award during a ceremony titled Peace, Prosperity and Diversity Through Trade: A 9/11 Commemoration. Ballam was given the award on September 8, 2011 in an event which was held at San Diego’s Broadway Pier and hosted by the World Trade Center San Diego (WTCSD). Read more

Alumni Spotlight – Tory Nixon
Almost any athlete who has ever played organized football dreams of one day owning a Super Bowl ring. SDSU alumnus, Tory Nixon (’86, finance) has lived that dream having played with the San Francisco 49ers when they won Super Bowl XXIII over the Cincinnati Bengals on January 22, 1989.

Light The Night
November 4, 2011 was a rainy, windy and cold evening, but blustery elements didn’t stop 161 SDSU College of Business faculty, alumni, advisory board members, staff, students and their friends and family from walking two miles at the Del Mar Fairgrounds to raise money and awareness for cancer research during the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night event.
