Y. Yang,
Ph.D. Y. Helio Yang is Professor of the Management Information Systems Department at San Diego State University. She received her M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering and Ph.D. in Decision and Information Sciences from the University of Florida. Her teaching and research interests include operations management, supply chain management, and strategic business modeling. She has published in Interfaces, Journal of Industrial Management and Data System, Managerial Finance, International Journal of Production Planning & Control, Journal of International Technology and Information Management, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Applied Economics, International Journal of Systems Science, Journal of Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, Journal of International Technology and Information Management, and California Journal of Operations Management, and at numerous proceedings of international conferences held by major professional organizations. Dr. Yang serves on Editorial Advisory Boards for Industrial Management and Data Systems Journal, International Journal of Innovation and Learning, and International Journal of Business Process Integration and Management. In addition, She has also served as an ad-hoc referee for European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of International Technology and Information Management, International Journal of Computers & Mathematics with Applications, Decision Science Institute Internal Conferences, Journal of Applied Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. Dr. Yang has received several research and teaching grants from American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), Promodel Corporations, and SDSU. Dr. Yang’s has consulted projects in quality management, inventory management, logistics management, and process improvement at domestic and international companies. She is affiliated with The Production and Operations Management Society (POM), The Institute of Supply Management (ISM), The Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), The Western Decision Sciences Institute (WDSI), The Supply Chain Council (SCC), The Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS), The Association for Chinese Management Educators (ACME), and The Honor Society for International Scholars.
