Neil R. Senturia
Lecturer, Management Department

Neil Senturia, CEO of Blackbird Ventures, has more than 25 years of diverse entrepreneurial experience including several technology start-ups, real estate development, and the entertainment industry. Currently, Neil is also CEO of Quanlight, Inc. which has an exclusive license on technology developed at UCSD to build the next generation of red LED’s. Most notably, Neil was the co-founder and CEO of Atcom/Info, the pioneer in high-speed internet access in hotel rooms. The company was sold to Cisco Systems, Inc. in 1999 in a deal valued at more than $80 million.  He then founded Mohomine, a data management software company which was later sold to Kofax Image Products. As CEO of Soflinx Corporation in 2004, he negotiated the sale of its wireless technology to Lockheed Martin.

Neil is an adjunct professor in the MBA program at San Diego State University and hosts “I’m There for You Baby,” a radio talk show on entrepreneurship with his wife, Barbara Bry.

Neil graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in English and received a masters' degree in cinema from New York University.
