Donald
Sciglimpaglia, Ph.D.
Professor, Marketing
Don Sciglimpaglia is a Professor of Marketing at SDSU and co-director
of the College of Business' Small Business Institute and Business
Consulting Program. He teaches undergraduate and graduate
courses in the areas of marketing research, marketing planning,
marketing management, Internet marketing and business consulting.
He has also taught at the University of California - San Diego,
the University of Colorado, Colorado State University and the University
of Kansas, in addition to teaching abroad in the UK and in Taiwan.
Professor Sciglimpaglia also holds the position of Sam M. Walton
Free Enterprise Fellow for his work with SDSU's Students in Free
Enterprise. The SIFE program at SDSU has won numerous awards
for its work in entrepreneurial outreach, Internet consulting and
small business consulting, including winning the $3000 AT&T
"Best Use of the Internet" international award for teaching
entrepreneurs and small business owners for four consecutive years.
Professor Sciglimpaglia has published more than eighty articles
and papers including articles in Journal of Marketing, Journal
of Consumer Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science,
Current Issues and Research in Advertising, Journal of Advertising,
Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Marketing Education,
Journal of Small Business Strategy and E-Business Review.
Sciglimpaglia has been an active consultant in the areas of marketing
strategy, marketing research and Internet marketing. Some
of his past and present clients include AT&T, IBM, McDonald’s,
Signet-Armorlite Kodak, San Diego Chargers, Cubic Corporation, Orincon
Technology, Lindows.com and Head Racquet Sports.
Don Sciglimpaglia received his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado.
