James
W. Ledwith, CPA James W. Ledwith, CPA, is an audit partner and SEC technical consulting partner who joined J.H. Cohn in 1992. He specializes in public companies and not-for-profit organizations and has over thirty-five years of diversified public accounting experience. He spent 20 years with Deloitte & Touche (formerly Deloitte, Haskins & Sells) as an audit partner, having completed three years service in their New York accounting research department. Jim has actively assisted clients in the preparation of their periodic 1934 Act SEC filings (Forms 10-K and 10-Q) as well as registration statements under the Securities Act of 1933. He has dealt extensively with underwriters and their counsel in stock and debt offerings. Jim has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1971 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants ("AICPA") and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has served on various committees of the AICPA, including its Accounting Standards Executive Committee and the SEC Regulations Committee, as well as committees of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (Stock Compensation Task Force). He is a member of the adjunct faculty of San Diego State University's Graduate School of Public Health as well as its School of Accounting and National University. Mr. Ledwith is a graduate of Babson College (B.S.B.A.) and the Wharton Graduate Division of the University of Pennsylvania (M.B.A.). He has served on the board of directors for several nonprofit companies.
