Damon M. Fleming, Ph.D. Damon M. Fleming is an Assistant Professor in the Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy. Professor Fleming’s teaching interests include financial and management accounting topics, and he currently teaches courses on accounting theory and financial reporting and analysis in the MSA Program. Professor Fleming’s research focuses on the areas of auditing, ethics, management reporting, and taxation as well as cross-cultural issues in these areas. His research has been published in leading accounting journals including Accounting Horizons, Behavioral Research in Accounting, The International Journal of Accounting, Issues in Accounting Education, Journal of Legal Tax Research, and Journal of Accountancy. In addition, he regularly presents research at national and international scholarly conferences. Professor Fleming received his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech and his B.S. and M.S. degrees in accounting from San Diego State University. He also holds the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation. Prior to entering academia, Professor Fleming was a principal at a venture capital firm in southern California. He continues to be an active member of the American Accounting Association, California Society of CPAs, and the Institute of Management Accountants.
