Sanford
(Sandy) B. Ehrlich,
Ph.D. Sanford (Sandy) B. Ehrlich is the QUALCOMM Executive Director for the Entrepreneurial Management Center at SDSU, a privately-funded center associated with the College of Business Administration, where he is also an Associate Professor of Management. His teaching, research, and consulting is focused on entrepreneur-investor relations, leadership and organization design of rapidly growing technology companies, and business plan development. Sandy’s recent work, in conjunction with the Center for the Commercialization of Advanced Technology, has been focused on technology entrepreneurship, particularly with respect to accelerating the development of products directed at homeland security and anti-terrorism. His publications have appeared in the Journal of Business Venturing, Organization Studies, Administrative Science Quarterly, Leadership Quarterly, the Academy of Management Journal, and the International Management Journal. He is a Director of Amistar (AMTA) Corporation, Deep Sky Software, Inc., and formerly a Director of The Healthy Back Store. For his work in entrepreneurship, he recently received the 2000 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the 2001 Edwin M. and Gloria W. Appel Award from the Price-Babson Foundation.
