Robert
(Bob) Capettini,
Ph.D. Robert (Bob) Capettini is Professor in the School of Accountancy at SDSU and joined the EMBA faculty in the Fall of 2000. Bob has taught at Duke University, the University of Iowa, the University of Illinois, the University of Toledo, and at the University of California at San Diego. He has also taught in executive development programs for SDSU, Duke University, Pennsylvania State University, the University of Iowa, IVAC Corporation, Control Data Corporation, AT&T, the American Corporate Counsel Association, and the American Accounting Association. During 1999 and 2000, he taught executive programs in Mexico and South America. Bobs current research centers on strategic cost management systems and educational innovations. He is coeditor of the book Cost Accounting, Robotics, and The New Manufacturing Environment and has published in numerous accounting and finance journals. He has presented papers at national meetings of major associations, institutions, and numerous colloquia sponsored by universities. He is past president of the American Accounting Association's Management Accounting Section and its Western Region. Bob received an Outstanding Faculty Contribution Award in 1999, the Most Influential Faculty Member in 1995 and 1997, the Most Outstanding Faculty Award in 1995 and 1998, and the California Society of CPAs Faculty Excellence Award in 1994.
