S.G. Badrinath (Badri), Ph.D.
Professor, Finance

S.G. Badrinath is a Professor of Finance at SDSU. Professor Badrinath has held faculty appointments at Rutgers University, Purdue University and the University of Arizona, prior to SDSU. He teaches in the investments area and has received college and university-wide teaching awards. He also serves as the faculty advisor to the Aztec Equity Fund. His Ph.D is in Finance from Purdue University. He has an MBA in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, India, and a Master of Arts in Operations Research from St. Stephen's College, New Delhi India.

Professor Badrinath's research interests are in investments and corporate finance. Some of his research has been published in the Journal of Finance, The Journal of Financial Economics, The Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Business and the Journal of Risk and Insurance. His publications have been cited in over 50 different journals in finance, accounting, economics, management, law, statistics and quantitative methods. His past research has been funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Financial Executives Research Foundation.
