Theophilus B.A. Addo, Ph.D. Dr. Theo Addo is an Associate Professor of Information Systems in the Information & Decision Systems department of the College of Business Administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration (emphasis in MIS) and an MBA (emphasis in MIS) from Indiana University, Bloomington. He also holds an M.S. in Technology of Management (emphasis in Computer Systems Applications), with distinction, from the American University, Washington D.C. Dr. Addo did his undergraduate work at the University of Ghana, where he received a B.Sc. (Gen) in Biochemistry and Zoology, as well as a B.Sc. (Hons) in Biochemistry. He also holds a City & Guilds of London Institute Certificate in Electronic Data Processing. Dr. Addo teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate levels on various subjects, including computer programming, organizational IT strategy and management, and e-business strategy. He has won several teaching and Outstanding Faculty awards at both the departmental and college levels. In 2000, he was named in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers: The Best Teachers in America Selected by the Best Students," Vol. IV, 6th ed. (2000), Educational Communications, Inc. He also serves on the Faculty Advisory Board of the Community Economic Development program of the College of Business Administration. Dr. Addo's research interests include IT performance measurement, using IT for effective communication, electronic business, knowledge management, and IT security. He has published several refereed articles on these topics in academic journals and conference proceedings. He is a charter member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and a member of the Information Resources Management Association (IRMA). In the non-academic world, Dr. Addo's interests include art and music.
