Dylan Denso
Dylan Denso is a third-generation Aztec. His parents met while they attended SDSU and his grandfather attended during the San Diego State College days. It was his family’s encouragement, plus the San Diego weather that kept Denso – a Dana Point, California native – in his home state.
Currently a back-up wide receiver, Denso has been seeing a lot of action on spread formations, but it is on special teams where he’s making his biggest impact.
In addition to seeing plenty of action on the football field, Denso is also earning an excellent reputation in the classroom as an SDSU Scholar-Athlete. This designation is given to those student athletes earning a minimum 3.2 GPA.
Denso almost declared a communications major, but chose pre-business because he decided “business provided a more reliable career” although, as a red-shirt freshman, he’s not sure which career he wants to pursue at this point. Still, he is confident that his business skills will work in his favor. “I believe that I will become a major asset to any business that is willing to hire me down the road,” he said.
