Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy Mission Statement
The San Diego State University Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy's mission is to advance the knowledge and practice of accounting in public, private, and governmental organizations by:

educating both undergraduate and graduate students to be lifelong learners,

providing basic, applied, and pedagogical research and service to the accounting profession and academic community,

maintaining a liaison with the accounting and business community by encouraging active involvement of faculty and students with accounting professionals,

supporting the educational needs of students from other departments within the College of Business,

providing a curriculum that is current and responsive in content and method of delivery, and
- serving and promoting the educational needs of current and future accounting practitioners.
Faculty of the School understand and respect diversity, and are committed to teamwork, continuous improvement, and scholarship informed by regional, national, and global developments in academics, business, and society.
Accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business. In 1982, The Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy was the first accredited accounting program in the state of California.
