Mission Statement

The mission of the Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy at San Diego State University is to provide excellence in accounting education through teaching, research, and service to the profession, community, and university with the involvement of business professionals. We prepare students to make responsible decisions based on critical thinking, effective communication, an understanding of accounting practice, technical competence, and an ability to respond to the changing professional environment.


AACSB International

The Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy is fully accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. In 1982, The School was the first accredited accounting program in the state of California.
