Rich is the Managing Partner of the San Diego Office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He began his career in public accounting in 1982 and was admitted as a partner in the firm in 1994.
Throughout his career, he has served companies ranging from rapidly growing, pre-IPO stage businesses to large publicly-held multinationals. These clients operate in a variety of industries including consumer electronics, defense contracting, telecommunications, medical devices and life sciences, manufacturing and services. He has assisted clients with numerous public equity and debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions and regularly advises client management and audit committees on matters involving compliance with SEC financial reporting requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls requirements, complex accounting standards, adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards and implementation of XBRL based reporting technologies.
Rich earned an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and a BS in accounting from St. John’s University. For more than 10 years he served as an "Executive-in-Residence" and instructed a graduate business school course on “Business Planning for Rapidly Growing Companies” at the Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University (New York). Prior to relocating to San Diego in 2001, Rich also served as a member of the Board of Advisors of the Tobin College of Business Administration. He continues to serve as an advisor to the Department of Accounting and Taxation at St. John's.
Rich is a Certified Public Accountant in California and New York.
He and his family reside in Poway, CA.
