RANDALL B. PETERSON Vice President Finance and Administration Randall B. Peterson is Vice President Finance and Administration for Sempra U.S. Gas & Power, which is a leading developer of renewable energy and natural gas solutions. The company operates solar, wind and natural gas power plants that generate enough electricity for nearly 1 million homes, along with natural gas storage and pipelines, and distribution utilities. Sempra U.S. Gas & Power is a subsidiary of Sempra Energy, a San Diego-based Fortune 500 energy services holding company whose subsidiaries provide electricity, natural gas and value-added products and services. The Sempra Energy companies’ 17,500 employees serve more than 31 million consumers worldwide. In his current position, Peterson oversees the accounting, human resources, procurement, and information technology functions for Sempra U.S. Gas & Power. Peterson has served in a number of executive roles as Sempra, including most recently as Vice President & Controller for Sempra Pipelines & Storage. Previously, he served as chief compliance officer for Sempra Energy directing the company’s ethics and compliance programs. Formerly, Peterson was vice president of human capital services and prior to that he was director of audit services for Sempra Energy. He has been with Sempra Energy and its predecessor companies since 1984. Prior to joining Sempra Energy, Peterson was an audit manager with a predecessor to the accounting firm Ernst & Young. He holds a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University, where he currently serves on the advisory board to the School of Accounting. Peterson is certified as a public accountant, management accountant and internal auditor.
