RANDALL B. PETERSON CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER Randall B. Peterson is chief compliance officer for Sempra Energy, a San Diego-based Fortune 500 energy services holding company whose subsidiaries provide electricity, natural gas and value-added products and services. The Sempra Energy companies' 13,000 employees serve more than 29 million consumers in the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, South America and Asia. In his current position, Peterson oversees the company’s key compliance resources and activities including affiliate compliance, environmental and safety compliance and compliance training. Formerly, from 2002 to 2004, Peterson was vice president of human capital services, overseeing payroll, human resource information technology, executive and employee development, and compliance training programs. Previously, Peterson was director of audit services for Sempra Energy from Since joining Pacific Enterprises in 1984, Peterson has held various positions of increasing responsibility in finance, accounting and auditing. He also has led many corporate reorganizations and realignments. Peterson holds a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and holds a number of professional audit and accounting certifications. Peterson also devotes his energies in support of a number of youth sports and performing arts activities in the community.
