James Comito James Comito has a long history of serving both public and private companies, with a focus on the audit of companies in the software, technology and life sciences industries. Mr. Comito has an expertise in all aspects of revenue recognition, business combinations, impairment of goodwill and other intangible assets, accounting for stock-based compensation, accounting for equity and debt instruments and other accounting issues facing software, technology and life sciences companies. Additionally, he has significant experience with a variety of other regulatory and corporate governance issues pertaining to publicly traded companies. In addition, Mr. Comito frequently speaks on accounting and auditing matters at various events in and around the San Diego area. Previously he was a senior manager at Deloitte & ToucheLLP where for over ten years he practiced in Deloitte’s technology group working with many of Deloitte’s public company clients. Mr. Comito is a certified public accountant and holds a B.S. in Accounting from San Diego State University and serves on the advisory board of the School of Accountancy at San Diego State University.
