John Belli

John is the Managing Partner of the San Diego office of Ernst & Young. He has 30 years of accounting and business advisory experience. Currently, John serves as coordinating partner for five San Diego based public companies. John is also the independent SEC review partner for a number of public companies in the Pacific South West (PSW) area.

John began his career in the Buffalo office in 1977.  In 1993, John transferred to the National Office in Cleveland to play a leadership role in Ernst & Young’s Global Audit Innovation Project. John was also responsible for global audit education and was the CFO of E&Y’s learning subsidiary from 1993 - 1998. In 1998, John transferred to San Diego and was the PSW area leader of the Retail, Distribution and Manufacturing practice. In October 2000, he was named the Managing Partner of the San Diego office. In 2006, John was elected to the Ernst & Young Americas Partner Advisory Council.

John graduated from John Carroll University with a BSBA degree, majoring in accounting. He is a member of the AICPA and a CPA is New York, Ohio and California. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the YMCA of San Diego County and the San Diego Economic Development Corporation and a member of the Audit and Finance Committees of the Francis Parker School.
