New SDSU Accounting Grad Awarded Essay Prize
Before earning her master of science in accountancy degree at SDSU this past spring, Bridget Lewis submitted an essay to the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Account Foundation as part of their annual student essay contest.
In August, 2009, Lewis was informed that she was one of four regional winners in the accounting student division and was awarded a prize of $250. All students in this division were asked to write a 10-page, double-spaced essay on: Compare and contrast the SEC/PCABO and AICPA rules and philosophy on independence for the attestation role including the attribution to the practice entity and other professionals therin.
Lewis was one of 17 entrants from across the U.S. to enter the contest.
