Mission
The Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy's mission is to advance the knowledge and practice of accounting in public, private, and governmental organizations by (1) educating both undergraduate and graduate students to be lifelong learners, (2) providing scholarly research and service to the accounting profession and academic community, (3) maintaining a liaison with the accounting and business community by encouraging active involvement of faculty and students with accounting professionals, (4) supporting the educational needs of students from other departments within the College of Business, (5) providing an innovative curriculum that is current and responsive in content and method of delivery, and (6) serving and promoting the educational needs of current and future accounting practitioners.

Accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business. In 1978, The Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy was the first accredited accounting program in the state of California.
