2009 Quest for the Best
Rex Brown Jr. was recently named one of SDSU’s 2009 “Quest of the Best” winners. Brown, a junior majoring in business administration (management) is one of 10 SDSU student honorees selected for the award for having excelled in:
- Academics
- Involvement in student organizations
- Community service
- Leadership qualities

Since coming to SDSU, Rex has been involved in numerous organizations including Golden Key International Honour Society, Library Senate Committee, CBA Business Honors Program and Pre-Law Society. He’s also engaged in community service through volunteer work at Baskets 4 Hope and the City Mission of Las Vegas Charity.
SDSU students with at least a 3.0 GPA and a minimum of 75 units of completed course work are eligible to apply for the award.

Future Rising Business Leader Awards

Five SDSU seniors were honored at the third annual Future Rising Business Leaders (FRBL) awards ceremony, held Friday, April 10 at Aztec Center. SDSU’s Executive in Residence Steve Ross served as this year’s keynote speaker.
Sponsored by the College of Business Administration, the awards are presented annually to five students and two student organizations.
To be eligible for the FRBL award, students completed an application that required a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and a resume. Through their application, students demonstrated their leadership qualities and development, academic excellence, internship experience, and community service and commitment to SDSU and CBA.
