SDSU’s Dr. Gail Naughton is Named Outstanding Dean By Beta Alpha Psi
SAN DIEGO (March 2, 2011) - The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University (SDSU) announced today Dean Dr. Gail Naugthton was named Beta Alpha Psi’s Outstanding Dean for 2011. Naughton is the first recipient of the award which will to be given annually to the dean who “has made a significant contribution in faculty support and/or financial support to helping achieve the goals and objectives of the chapter.”
Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary and service organization for accounting, finance and information systems students attending AACSB- or EQUIS-accredited universities. The Beta Alpha Psi chapter at SDSU’s Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy was founded in 1960 and is one of the oldest chapters and most recognized on record.
“It is with great pleasure that I announce SDSU’s College of Business dean, Dr. Gail Naughton, as the recipient of the 2011 Outstanding Dean award,” said Beta Alpha Psi’s executive director, Hadassah Baum. “Dr. Naughton was selected for the award based on her longstanding and enthusiastic support of Beta Alpha Psi and the students of the SDSU chapter.”
