SAN DIEGO (September 15, 2011) - The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University (SDSU) announced that SDSU management professor, Dr. Lynn Shore, has been named chair of the College’s Management Department effective September 2011.

Shore replaces Dr. Alex DeNoble, who has assumed the role of executive director of SDSU’s Entrepreneurial Management Center.

Currently, Shore is a professor of management at SDSU where she specializes in management and organizational behavior. She is also the co-director of SDSU’s Institute for Inclusiveness & Diversity in Organizations, an academic center which partners with the business community to provide innovative and timely research regarding diversity in the workplace.

“Dr. Shore’s exceptional research, teaching and academic credentials made her an outstanding choice to take over leadership of the Management Department,” said Dr. Michael Cunningham, dean of SDSU’s College of Business Administration. “Her dedication to the Department, College and University assures she will provide innovation and guidance to faculty and students as we march into the future.”

Shore earned her Ph.D. from Colorado State University and has been with SDSU’s Management Department since 2004.
