SDSU’s Beta Alpha Psi Chapter Picks Up National Award SAN DIEGO (June 15, 2011) - The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University (SDSU) announced that the SDSU chapter of Beta Alpha Psi based at SDSU’s Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy was among the five winners in the Ernst & Young Diversity Award competition which concluded on June 8, 2011. The SDSU chapter submitted their proposal of how they planned to create/promote diversity and inclusiveness within their chapter. After being named a preliminary winner and given $500 in implementation funding in February, the chapter submitted a follow-up proposal detailing the results of their diversity plan which was then evaluated by Ernst & Young executives. The SDSU’s Beta Alpha Psi chapter along with their faculty advisor, Dr. David DeBoskey, will pick up their award and $1500 in prize money at the Beta Alpha Psi annual meeting which takes place in Denver, Colorado, August 11 – 13, 2011. Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary organization whose primary objective is to provide recognition to students and professionals who have achieved scholastic and/or professional excellence in the fields of accounting, finance, or information systems. There are 263 chapters on college and university campuses with over 300,000 members initiated since Beta Alpha Psi's formation in 1919.
