Dean Naughton Announces Retirement
Dr. Gail Naughton, dean of SDSU’s College of Business Administration has announced her intention of stepping down from her post in the spring of 2011. Naughton, who has headed the College of Business Administration since August of 2002, plans to take on the role of full-time chairman/CEO of Histogen Inc., a biotech organization she founded in 2007.
During her tenure as dean, Naughton’s accomplishments include:

Increased philanthropy to the College of Business Administration |

Increased alumni outreach |
• |
Establishment and passage of the Graduate Business Professional Fee for the enhancement of the business graduate programs of all CSU schools. |
• |
Rebuilding the College’s board of directors |
• |
Launching The Corky McMillin Center for Real Estate and strengthening the College’s overall real estate program. |
• |
Establishing one of the first-ever Sports Business Management MBA programs. |
Although Naughton will no longer head the College of Business Administration, she will continue to be active at SDSU as an adjunct lecturer when she teaches an entrepreneurial class in the fall of 2011.
