SDSU Professor Named
“Top Ten Most Prolific Author”
Dr. Bruce Reinig (IDS) was recently named one of the 10 most prolific authors in the world on the subject of group support systems (GSS) by researchers at the Helsinki School of Economics and the Helsinki University of Technology. Of the 1297 individual authors studied from 2000 to 2005, Reinig ranked seventh overall. Of the 2868 authors published from 1982 to 2005, Reinig was ranked 18th most prolific.
Since 1995, Reinig has published more than 40 articles on GSS in areas that included user satisfaction, strategic planning, group ideation and virtual teams. He has also been the recipient of three best paper awards for his work at the Hawaiian International Conference on Systems Sciences and recently co-authored the “Yield Shift Theory of Satisfaction” which was published in the Journal of the AIS.

Dr. Chee Chow (accountancy): delivered the keynote speak titled “Some Possible Directions for the Future Development of Management Accounting Education and Research in China” at the International Symposium of Management Accounting Research in China and Overseas: Comparisons and Lessons. The symposium was organized by the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai, October 31 – November 1, 2008. Chow also spoke to the graduate accounting students and faculty at Nanjing University on November 3, 2008.
