With your participation in the Freshman Leadership Series (FLS), you have taken the first step in committing to your leadership development here at San Diego State University. The Freshman Leadership Series is designed for first-year San Diego State University students who are interested in getting involved on campus and developing their own leadership skills. Students involved in the program meet weekly during the Spring semester to participate in leadership workshops, community service projects, SDSU campus events, and many fun leadership development activities! Each program participant will have the opportunity to work with current SDSU student leaders and faculty members.

The Benefits of the Freshman Leadership Series:

  • Get better acquainted to the campus community.
  • Learn about SDSU’s student organizations and how you can get involved! Learn about SDSU’s student life and how you can get involved!
  • Make a difference in the community by participating in various community service activities.
  • Interact with other freshman students on campus.
  • Meet faculty and staff members from around campus Develop various leadership skills including time management, communication, values, and ethics.
  • Get connected with current SDSU student leaders on campus. Become informed about the involvement opportunities on campus.
