This is a sample of a dressage test. Horse and rider enter the arena at letter "A" and execute a series of movements. Each movement is scored individually, with additional scores (called collective marks) given for the quality of the horses gaits and the riders equitation. Points are deducted for errors, such as going off course. It is rare to see scores above the mid-70% range. As the judge watches your ride, a scribe writes down the judge's comments on the test sheet, which you get after your ride. These comments are designed to help you improve your tests.
