Carol Tohsaku

Carol Tohsaku, ITS-BATS Coordinator

Carol coordinates the Baseline Access, Training and Support program for SDSU faculty, staff and students. She is responsible for developing the workshop schedule and brochures, marketing BATS and other ITS training (i.e., Blackboard, Smart Classroom, and Turnitin.com), maintaining the online registration, and other administrative duties.

She works with the BATS instructors to develop the computer software training curriculum, including customized training. She also supervises the BATS student employees who assist the workshop participants. In addition, Carol coordinates campus-wide support and training with other IT professionals and department staff.

   
Rob Drake

Rob Drake, ITS-BATS Staff Information Technology Consultant


On May 1, 2008 Rob retired from SDSU. Rob was a member of the Baseline, Access, Training and Support group (BATS). Rob was responsible for developing and conducting formal computer software classes designed to help the staff of SDSU use their PC and Macintosh computers effectively.

He was also the designated Staff Computing Help Desk Consultant. Additionally, Rob consulted with and trained faculty and staff in the use of computer software and audiovisual hardware located in the Faculty Room. We will miss him!

   
Jon Rizzo

Jon Rizzo is the Blackboard Administrator. He develops formal computer software classes designed to help the faculty of SDSU use their PC and Macintosh computers effectively. Additionally, Jon consults with faculty regarding the use of technology for instruction and also gives recommendations for instructional design when needed.

With and MA in Educational Technology, Jon is able to spend considerable time focusing on two of his favorite subjects: learning and technology

   
Charles Hurley

Charles Hurley, ITS-BATS Student Information Technology Consultant

Charles is a member of the Baseline, Access, Training and Support (BATS) group. He is responsible for developing and conducting formal computer software classes designed to help the students at SDSU use their computers more effectively.

He is also part of the supervisory staff of the campus Student Computing Center (SCC), where he helps students with projects and any computer or software related questions.

Additionally, Charles consults with faculty to develop customized workshops for their classes utilizing the programs taught in the BATS program.
