In a more recent manuscript, I discuss the problems related to teaching genre to novice students: college freshmen or students in secondary school: Genre Awareness for the Novice Academic Student: An On-going Quest, published in Language Teaching, 41(2). 2009.

This manuscript, "Crossing the Borders of Genre Studies," by Ann Johns, with Anis Bawarshi, Richard M. Coe, Ken Hyland, Brian Paltridge, Mary Jo Reiff and Christine Tardy, will be published by Journal of Second Language Writing, in 2007.

Ann Snow and I are co-editing an issue of Journal of English for Academic Purposes entitled Language and Content in the Secondary School. This paper, "An Integrated Language and Content Curriculum for History Teachers," by Mary Schleppegrell and Luciana C. de Oliveira, will appear in that issue.
