Fall 2008 Internet Projects
IMU
The purpose of my IMU:
1) Create awarness of the ongoing epidemic of unsanitary water conditions in Africa.
2) Make Americans realize that we take our clean water for granted.
3) Keep the ending message short and to the point. There are many ways to ask people to give money but rather than listing them all I think its more effective to focus on compelling images and give one easy answer to the problem: donate money to charities that help build fresh water wells in Africa.
My audience:
Anyone who uses fresh water daily.
Where to place my IMU:
Ideally I would place links to my video on major American water distributors such as Sparklets or Aquafina. That would help create awarness that not everyone is so fortunate to drink clean water. Also, having it on YouTube will help spread the message all over the world.
