Board of Advisors
Aiesec San Diego has recently implemented a board of advisor committee. The purpose of the board of advisors is to help guide the strategic direction of the Local Committee in San Diego. The board is divided into committees, with each committee consisting of at least one board member and the VP or member in charge of that functional area.
Primary Roles:
Mentorship with Aiesec SD officers.
Attend Board meetings
Review LC updates and advise on current issues
Secondary Roles: (1 of the following 4)
Speak to members at 1 general Meeting or at a Retreat
Speak to students at 1 professional event or at 1 recruitment informational session.
Help with LC networking. Introduce the sales team to 10 potential corporate/organizational customers.
Make $800 donation to LC or arrange for their company to make donations.
Committees:
Finance Committee: Focus on the financial state of the organization. It will review revenues and expenditures and make recommendations to the board. It will also discuss alternative sources of funding and how to cut costs.
Student Customer Committee: This committee is responsible for reviewing student customer (outgoing and incoming) satisfaction and for discussing new ways of improving Aiesec's services offered to students. This committee will also discuss ways of increasing student sales.
Corporate Customer Committee: This committee will focus on how to improve the level of service offered to corporate/organizational customers. This committee will also discuss ways of increasing corporate sales. The committee will make recommendations to the board.
Culture Committee: This committee will be responsible for reviewing the cultural experience of customers, members and affiliates of Aiesec. This committee will also discuss new cultural programs and how to improve the cultural programs in San Diego. The committee will make recommendations to the board.
Member/Alumni Committee: This committee will focus on the development of members and the relationship of Aiesec Alumni. This committee will discuss ways of enhancing members' experience and how to reward and motivate them. Also, this committee will discuss the involvement of Alumni and how to keep them actively contributing to and involved in the organization. The committee will make recommendations to the board.
