Graduation Requirements


You must fulfill nine requirements to graduate from SDSU. They are:

Testing Requirements
These tests are designed to ensure that you have the academic skills you will need to succeed at SDSU

Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement
All students must demonstrate writing competency at the upper-division level.

Major and Minor Requirements
Explains what a major and a minor are and provides resources for choosing them

American Institutions
Outlines the three parts of this CSU requirement and how to complete it at SDSU

Language Requirement
A guide to determine if you must complete this University requirement and how to do so

Unit Requirements
Specifies the number of units required for particular degrees and explains how the units you earn are distributed

Residence Requirements
Specifies how many units you must take at SDSU in order to earn your degree from SDSU

Grade Point Average Requirements
Explains what grade point averages (GPA) are, how they are calculated, and how they are used

General Education
Outlines the pattern of General Education courses required by SDSU
