Jackson Borges
Jackson Borges, organist, has performed at home and abroad as soloist in venues such as St. Paul's Cathedral and the Spreckels Organ Pavilion in San Diego, Khandallah Presbyterian Church in Wellington, New Zealand, and Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where he recently made his symphonic debut with the University of Southern Mississippi Symphony performing Joseph Jongen's “Symphonie Concertante.” He also appeared as organ accompanist with the same institution's Southern Chorale at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles during the 2005 American Choral Directors Association national convention. Mr. Borges' principal instructors have included Dr. John Redford, Dr. Steven Gray and San Diego Civic Organist Emeritus Robert Plimpton with additional coaching in theatre organ and improvisation from Tom Hazleton. He currently serves as Organist in Residence at Torrey Pines Christian Church in La Jolla , staff accompanist at Mira Costa College in Oceanside and music assistant/accompanist at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego . Mr. Borges is presently completing the Bachelor of Music degree in organ performance at San Diego State University .
