Lorraine Castellanos

Hausmann String Quartet

Lorraine Castellanos has an intense passion for music, evident in her perceptive phrasing and tone, both as an instrumentalist and vocalist. Her ravenous musical fervor is showcased through her magnetic, weighty voice, and sensitive execution on the Classical Guitar. A very promising future is in store for Castellanos, who is gaining a reputation as a dynamic musical presence in her hometown of San Diego, California.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Music and a Music Teaching Credential from San Diego State University under her belt, Castellanos is currently continuing her education at SDSU in a Master’s Degree program in Classical Guitar Performance under the tutelage of Fred Benedetti.

With eclectic taste in, and extensive knowledge of, multiple genres of music, Mrs. Castellanos derives pure pleasure when interpreting the works of great Latin American and Western European composers. While inspired by the likes of Andres Segovia, Julian Bream, and Berta Rojas, Castellanos weaves her own creative impressions into each time-honored work.

“Lorraine Castellanos [is] an outstanding musician in her own right.”
—San Diego Reader

Lorraine Castellanos is available to perform at concerts, weddings, private functions and corporate events.
