- CHED Newsletters
The CHED Newsletter is published three times per year by
the ACS Division of Chemical Education, Inc. with the intention of enhancing
communication among members.
- CHEMCONF
On-line Chemistry Education Conference, 1993
During
the summer of 1993, the Committee on Computers in Chemical Education of the
American Chemical Society's Division of Chemical Education sponsored an
experimental on-line electronic conference, entitled "Applications of
Technology in Teaching Chemistry", which was conducted entirely by means of
Internet and Bitnet network services.
- Chemical
Applications of the World Wide Web
A hypertext
presentation by Henry S. Rzepa, , Benjamin J. Whitaker, and Mark J. Winter. The
application of the Internet based World-Wide-Web system for efficient and
intuitive delivery of chemical information in a wide variety of formats is
illustrated via models for electronic publishing and interaction with molecular
data.
- *The Chemical Educator
"The New Journal Devoted to Chemical Education".
- Chemical On-line
Presentations, Talks and Workshops
You are invited
to contribute the URL of any chemically orientated talk, poster or workshop
presentation that you have made or will make to an audience. Links to
contributed talks are presented on this page, most of the by the listkeeper,
Henry Rzepa at the Imperial College.
- Chemistry on the
Infobahn: ACS Chicago, August, 1995
Lists talks and
posters related to chemistry on the Internet that will be presented at the
National ACS Meeting. Also includes a section on electronic posters.
- CORE Project
The CORE project is an electronic library prototype the provides
networked access to the full text and graphics content of the American Chemical
Society journals and associated Chemical Abstracts Services indexing since 1980
(some 250 journal years of data).
- Discover
Magazine - The World of Science
The online home of
DISCOVER, the magazine of science and technology; their wonders, their uses;
their impact upon our lives.
- First
Electronic Computational Chemistry Conference (ECCC)
The first Electronic Computational Chemistry Conference was held
November 7-18, 1994 entirely on the Internet. This page acts as your entry point
into the Conference. From here you can access the titles, abstracts, and papers
presented in the conference.
- Electronic
Glycoscience Conference-1
The First Electronic
Glycoscience Conference (EGC-1) will be held on the Internet (the Net) and World
Wide Web (the Web) from Sept 18 - Oct 13, 1995. This international conference
will cover a broad range of disciplines related to carbohydrate and
glycoconjugate molecules including chemical, physical, biological and medical
areas using theoretical, experimental and computational approaches. EGC-1 will
be a fully international event open to all members of our scientific community.
It is our intent that EGC-1 will be an historic occasion from which we will move
forward towards further annual conferences and virtual resource creation for The
Glycosciences.
- Journal of Biological
Chemistry
Take a glimpse at the future in
scientific publishing!
- *Journal of Chemical Education
- Software
The branch of the Journal of Chemical
Education that publishes instructional computer software and videodiscs.
- Journal of
Computer-Aided Molecular Design
ESCOM Science
Publishers in collaboration with the Center for Molecular Design are proud to
present an experimental electronic version of the Journal of Computer-Aided
Molecular Design. This server will attempt to carry complete articles, including
figures and tables, along with enhancements such as molecular coordinates for
viewing with RASMOL.
- Journal of
Cyber Chemistry
The scope of this "Cyberjournal"
is: "Everything and anything that relates to the Internet and Chemistry.
Papers should be about the Internet and its use in Chemistry or be of material
covering Chemistry research in its widest sense that can take specific
advantages of the possibilities the Internet offers."
- Multimedia Journal of
Chemical Education
This was a bold and idealistic,
(thus) now strangled, effort to represent a [US] national effort to deliver a
WWW/CD-ROM journal specializing in using multimedia and online conferences to
better present chemical education materials. Its page now reads: "Due to
the wishes of the Journal of Chemical Education editorial board (an unrelated
publication), the Multimedia Journal of Chemical Education no longer will
published as such.". Boo, JChE!
- NMR POSTER95
The NMR POSTER95 summer electronic poster session was held June 12-16
1995. When indexed, this page contained links to 30+ contributions.
- Springer
Electronic Media - Chemistry
Listing of on-line
publications (Tables of Contents and Additional Material), as well as
commercially available CD-ROM databases from the German publisher.
- *Tetrahedron Information
System
A new online information service for
organic chemists, offering contents, graphical abstracts and full text for the
five peer-reviewed journals Tetrahedron, Tetrahedron Letters, Tetrahedron:
Asymmetry, Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry and Bioorganic & Medicinal
Chemistry Letters.
- TULIP - The
University Licensing Program
TULIP is a cooperative
research project testing system for networked delivery and use of journals,
performed by Elsevier Science and nine Universities in the USA.
