CODATA Recommended Values of the Fundamental Physical Constants
This document, found on the NIST (National Institute of
Standardization and Testing, USA) server gives the values of the basic constants
and conversion factors of physics and chemistry resulting from the 1986
least-squares adjustment of the fundamental physical constants as published by
the CODATA Task Group on Fundamental Constants and as recommended for
international use by CODATA. There is also a
paper
describing how these data were established.
- Conversion
of Units
A forms-based "conversion calculator"
where you may write a numerical value and a permissible unit into the free-form
field. Alternatively, the unit may be selected from the selector box. Also
includes a
temperature
conversion section.
- Fundamental
Physical Constants
A list maintained by Burkhard
Kirste in Berlin.
- Marine Sediment and
Rock Data
NGDC's Marine Geology and Geophysics
global marine sediment and hardrock databases aim at serving as the
international focal point for marine geology data management. All data are in
the international public domain, available globally to any interested individual
or group. On-line searches of NGDC's data holdings and an index to seafloor
samples (cores, grabs, dredges, and drill samples) available for futher study
from other institutions are offered, along with direct download of many data
files. Among the databases searchable on-line are the Marine Geology Data &
Reports, The Index to Marine Geological Samples, Searches of
Marine Geology Data & Inventories, Sediment Thickness of the World
Oceans, Ocean Drilling Data , Marine Minerals Data On-Line &
on CD-ROM. This is an invaluable site for marine chemists.
- NASA Thesaurus
An electronic version of the NASA Thesaurus, covering a
vast variety of technical terms - not only related to space.
- Table of
Fundamental Physical Constants
Yet another table of
fundamental physical constants on the web, this one with confidence intervals.
- Table of the
Nuclides
A clickable chart presenting all known
nuclides.
- Top

Chemical production figures for the
USA, showing the usage statistics for the top 50 industrial chemicals.
