- EXAFS
Spectroscopy
EXAFS (Extended X-ray absorption fine
structure) refers to the sinusoidal variation of the X-ray absorption
coefficient as a function of X-ray photon energy, which occurs after each
absorption edge of an element and extends for up to 1500 eV further. This
phenomenon forms the basis to the analytical technique of EXAFS spectroscopy,
which can be used to obtain structural information about molecules without the
need for obtaining single crystals. This is a short tutorial on the technique.
- Service Crystallography
Special Interest Group
The Service Crystallography
Special Interest Group was formed to provide a forum for professional service
crystallographers. The membership serves in both academia and industry and
consists of both small-molecule and macromolecular crystallographers.
- Small Molecule
Special Interest Group
The Small Molecule Special
Interest Group was formed to promote all aspects of the application of
crystallographic techniques to the determination, analysis and presentation of
structures of small molecules.

Library - Crystallography
The Crystallography
section of the World-Wide-Web Virtual Library is available to provide extensive
coverage of internet-based information concerning crystallography and of
interest to crystallographers.
