Laser Facility
Emphasis has been placed on the
effectiveness and flexibility of the facilities offered and the availability of
advanced support services (electronic and mechanical workshops, computing
facilities, characterization laboratories). To this end, modern table-top
ultraviolet and dye laser systems are in configurations which allow the
realisation of multi-colour experiments at the user workstations. These lasers,
together with associated modern diagnostic equipment, support the performance of
innovative experimental investigations in a variety of diverse fields, including
Atomic and Molecular Physics, Material Sciences, Plasma Physics, Physical
Chemistry and Molecular Biology.
