Obtaining a ROHAN Computer Account

You must have a username and password from SDSU to use ROHAN (a Sun Sparc SunFire 4900). Account application procedures or forms are available at the Student Computing Center (LL-200) or on the web at http://rohan.sdsu.edu/acct.shtml.

Students
If you are a student and wish to get a ROHAN email account, login to the WebPortal and click on the button titled Get a ROHAN/Email account. An account will be created for you. The account information will be displayed on the screen, and will be emailed to your email address on file with the WebPortal.
If you need assistance, go to the Student Computing Center in LL-200.
Student accounts will be active for the duration of their SDSU affiliation.

Faculty and Academic Staff
Faculty and academic staff can obtain accounts on ROHAN by completing and signing a #0510 ROHAN Computer Account Application (pickup and return of forms is handled in LL-200). Accounts are usually available within two working days, contingent upon system availability and workload. These accounts are active for the duration of their SDSU affiliation.

Courses
Faculty can obtain course accounts for web access on ROHAN by completing and signing a #0510 ROHAN Computer Account Application (pickup and return of forms is handled in LL-200). Accounts are usually available within two working days, contingent upon system availability and workload. Course accounts are active for the duration of the faculty-sponsor's SDSU affiliation.

Departments and Colleges
Academic Departments and Colleges interested in providing a Home page but do not have a Web server available to them, can obtain a special account on ROHAN. By completing and signing a #0515 Department/College ROHAN Computer Account Application for World Wide Web access form (pickup and return of forms is handled in LL-200), Academic Departments and Colleges can develop and store this type of Home Page file. Accounts are usually available within two working days, contingent upon system availability and workload.

Student Organizations
Student Organizations interested in providing a World Wide Web page but do not have a Web server available to them, can obtain a special account on ROHAN. Their Faculty advisor can obtain an account for this purpose by completing and signing a #0516 Student Organization ROHAN Computer Account Application for World Wide Web access form (pickup and return of forms is handled in LL-200). Accounts are usually available within two working days, contingent upon system availability and workload.
