Mac Mail can be setup with IMAP or POP and using the rohan.sdsu.edu server.

• The IMAP, POP, and SMTP servers are rohan.sdsu.edu
• The IMAP server using the SSL secured port 993.
• The POP server using the SSL secured port 995.
• The SMTP server using the SSL secured SMTP port 587.

The following example shows setting up Rohan email with Mac Mail using POP and SMTP:

Start Mail and select Preferences -> Accounts. From the menu change the following:

• Account Information
  This example is for Account Type: POP   The Incoming Mail Server is rohan.sdsu.edu
  
  
  
  
• Server Settings...
  The Outgoing Mail Server: is rohan.sdsu.edu
  The Server port: is 587
  Check Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
  The Authentication: is Password
  
  
  
  
• Advanced Account Information
  The Advanced tab allows you to change the settings for checking mail.
  Enter the following for a POP account:
  Port: 995
  Check the Use SSL box.
  
  
  
  
• Check Mail and accept Rohan's SSL Certificate
