This page guides you through setting up the following secure settings on Eudora for the Mac:
Start Eudora and select Settings. From the left side menu change the following:
- The POP server using the alternate SSL secured port 995.
- The SMTP server with require STARTTLS on the SMTP port 8025.
- Accepting Rohan's SSL Certificate.
- Checking Mail
The Mail Server is rohan.sdsu.edu:995 The 995 port number is required.
Make sure you have checked both POP and Passwords.

- Sending Mail
The SMTP server: is rohan.sdsu.edu:8025 The 8025 port number is required.
Make sure the Allow authorization box is checked.

- SSL
Scroll down until you find SSL. Change the following under Secure Sockets Layer:
SSL for POP: Required (Alternate Port)
SSL for SMTP: Required (TLS)
SSL for IMAP: Required (Alternate Port):
Change the SSL Negotiation options to read:
Standard Port SSL Negotiation TLS 1.0 (Cyrus)
Alternate Port SSL Negotiation TLS 1.0 (Cyrus)

- Check Mail and accept Rohan's SSL Certificate
Check you mail with Eudora Eudora will then display the window Check Certificate.
Click the OK button to add Rohan's SSL certificate to your keychain.
