This page guides you through setting up the following secure settings on Eudora 7:
- The POP server using the alternate SSL secured port 995.
- The SMTP server with require STARTTLS on the SMTP port 8025.
- Accepting Rohan's SSL Certificate.
Start Eudora 7 and select Tools -> Options. From that pull down menu change the following:
- Checking Mail
The Mail Server is rohan.sdsu.edu Secure Sockets when Receiving is Required, Alternate Port

- Sending Mail
The SMTP server: is rohan.sdsu.edu Secure Sockets when Receiving is If Available, STARTTLS

- Ports
Change enter the following ports: SMTP 8025, POP 995, IMAP 993 Don't forget to click the OK button to save all these changes!
If you don't have the Ports Category, exit Eudora, and copy
C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\Eudora\extrastuff\esoteric.epi into
C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\Eudora\
Then restart Eudora and go back to Tools -> Options -> Ports and set the ports.

- Check Mail and accept Rohan's SSL Certificate
Check you mail with Eudora, either by File -> Check Mail, or clicking the Check Mail icon. Eudora will then display the window Server SSL Certificate Rejected. Click the Yes button to trust this certificate in future sessions. Eudora is not longer supported by Qualcomm and does not know the ipsCA certificate Rohan uses.
