telnet

telnet is not a network unto itself. telnet is a network protocol that allows you to connect to and log into a remote computer. Syntax is:

rohan% telnet  host

where host is either the Domain Name or the IP Address of a remote computer. Usage example of a Domain Name:

rohan% telnet  library.sdsu.edu

Usage example of an IP Address:

rohan% telnet  130.191.17.100
