remove (rm, rmdir)

To remove a file, the syntax is:

rohan% rm  filename

To remove a directory, the syntax is:

rohan% rmdir  directoryname

Notice: Once you remove a file or a directory, it is gone permanently. There is no way to retrieve it once it has been erased
