Saving messages via pine

pine creates a folder in your account called "Mail". All the messages you save are kept there. You can use the L command to list these folders at any time.

The default folders that should be located in your account are:

INBOX - contains your incoming messages

sent-mail - contains every message you have ever sent

saved-messages - contains every message you have ever saved

You can use the right and left arrow keys to move between your folders. When the appropriate folder is highlighted, press enter or return to view the contents of the folder.

Each folder has a similar layout to the INBOX folder and can be traversed in the same way.

To access the Address Book, go to the main menu and press ^T. A list of all the "nicknames" you have created along with the "full" name of the person and their Email address appears on your screen.

In order to use one of these nicknames you can either use the up and down arrow keys to move to the nickname you want to use and then press c to compose a message to that person, or you can simply type the nickname in the To: field in the header of your message.

To add someone to the list, press A.

To remove someone from the list, highlight their name and press D to delete the nickname.
