logout

When you are finished working with Unix, you must end your session by logging off. You do this by typing logout or exit at the system prompt. Syntax is:
rohan% logout
or
rohan% exit
It is important to make sure that you log out when you are finished. If you don't, anyone could come by and use the public terminal under the auspices of your account. Your account is your responsibility. Leaving a public terminal logged in is like parking your car unlocked with the keys in the ignition.
