ftp

ftp is a program that allows you to transfer files between two computers. The name ftp stands for file transfer protocol; a standard software protocol that governs the error-corrected transmission of computer data. Syntax is:

rohan% ftp  host

where host is either the Domain Name or the IP Address of a remote computer. Usage example of a Domain Name:

rohan% ftp  libweb.sdsu.edu

Usage example of an IP Address:

rohan% ftp  130.191.1.30
